Please ensure that all paddng material is suitable for postal despatch. All images will be copied for reproduction in the catalogue, the Society's publications and promotional material, or distributed in digital format for the benefit of the Group or its Members. The process does not entail the removal of transparencies from their mounts. Any digital copying will be at a resolution insufficient to allow unauthorised reproduction of the original image and in all cases copyright is retained by the photographer. TRANSPARENCIES: To avoid risk of damage, glass‑mounted slides are preferred but card or plastic mounts may be submitted. All slides should be spotted in the lower left corner when viewed the correct way round in the hand. The entrant's name, title and letter as indicated on the entry form, should also be clearly shown. PRINTS: All prints should be mounted on thin backing card. Only entries from overseas members may be submitted un‑mounted. No entries should be framed. The reverse of the mount should clearly show the entrant's name and address, with the title and letter, as listed on the entry form. Information given in this way greatly assists when unpacking, sorting and on selection day. As the prints are displayed at some venues in frames, all items submitted should measure exactly 50cm x 40cm overall. Please measure accurately, as any entries not conforming to this size may he rejected. At some venues the prints are displayed unframed and may be subject to fluctuations in humidity and temperature. Please ensure that your prints and any overlays are securely fixed to the mounts with good quality adhesive or fixing tape. Decorators' masking tape is not suitable. Rejected prints will be retumed as soon as possible after the selection date. Accepted prints will be shown in several venues throughout the British Isles, so may be retained for up to one year. All slides will be returned as soon as possible after the showing at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon. Every care will be taken with all entries submitted but the RPS Colour Group cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage, however occurring. |
